Born in Quezon City on the island of Luzon in the Philippines, Tracy Cruz’s alluring voice is comprised of sounds old and new, resembling Jill Scott’s throaty moans and Sarah Vaughan’s lyrical accentuation, all while still managing to remain distinct. With a vocal range that stretches from unbelievable lows to soprano highs, Tracy pulls from her thriving passion of Filipino ballads, blended with the influence of her former vocal coach, Ledisi.
Tracy has accumulated national recognition with her albums including three Muse’s Muse Awards for “Best R&B CD Project of 2008”, “Best Lyrics (female)”, and “Best R&B Single. Most recently, Tracy was selected as one of the TOP 6 of MYX TV's "Independent Music Search" (Season 2, Episode 2) and her music video "Love's Galaxy" was aired nationally.
