The artist known as KD Assassin was born Darrick Clark in St. Louis, Mo. He was raised in the Walnut Park area of the city, the Northside. Thankful to have survived the allure of the streets, KD chooses to use his voice to promote consciousness and inspiration instead of exploiting the struggle that has made him the man he is.
However, he will go there if taken there in an emcee battle which earned him the "Assassin" title by his peers for what he did to his opponents! His flow is poetic yet still obnoxiously hard and in your face as he explores a range of realities with his brand of Street Hop. KD(Koup De Ville by his grandfather), is a poet, conscious, a rebel, a writer, and is a true fan and student of Hip Hop as well as a leader and trendsetter.
